Children’s centre and Urban
Square

A former out of date nursing home is
converted into a new modern children’s
centre with day care centers, after school
care and recreational clubs for children
ages 1-18. On the roof of the building
there will be a playing field. Municipal
special funding enables this green roof
project. Extra insulation is added to façades,
windows replaced by a low energy
type, and parts of the heating system are
renewed. All of which substantially reduces
the energy consumption for heating.

Next to the children’s centre a new urban
square will link the entire area together,
create life and dynamics and emphasize
the upgrading of Gyldenrisparken into a
modern, attractive housing area.

The construction budget of the renovation
of the children’s centre is 13m £.
